Plum Creek Watershed has a monitoring group called the Plum Creek Stewards, who work under the umbrella organization Texas Stream Team. The Plum Creek Stewards visit a self-selected site monthly to collect data on air and water temperature, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, pH, and much more.
Texas Stream Team is an environmental education and monitoring program administered by The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State University-San Marcos funded through a Clean Water Act §319 grant from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Texas Stream Team represents a vast network of trained volunteers collecting water quality data on lakes, rivers, streams, wetlands, and estuaries across Texas.
